About Alex

Alex Santiago is a community organizer, published author, and consultant whose work spans nonprofit infrastructure, training and curriculum design, wellness programming, and organizational development. He is the Founder of A. Santiago Consulting and the Founder and VP of Development at I Am Human Foundation, a national nonprofit headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, with a second office opening in San Francisco in Summer 2026. He serves on the Mayor's Advisory Board for the City of Atlanta and is an inaugural member of the Morehouse School of Medicine Satcher Health Leadership Institute HIV Equity Task Force.
His practice is grounded in community. The result is training that respects the people in the room, manuals written in plain language, programs designed with outcomes funders can actually fund, and documents that get organizations taken seriously. The work meets people and organizations where they are.
Alex is also the author of Mission and Margin: How Nonprofits Can Survive and Thrive in Corporate America, available on Amazon. He splits time between Atlanta and San Francisco.
